Meet Jesus R Carbo Lopez

I was born in Cuba and lived there until the age of 16, when I left the country just days before military service came knocking at my family's door. I migrated to Miami, where I discovered a quiet passion for drawing and ink shading—not with any artistic goal in mind, but simply because I enjoyed the feeling of pen on paper and watching forms come to life.

Later, during my senior year, I took a painting class and found something deeper. Painting took more time, more money, and more thought—and with that came intention. I began to give my art meaning. I started experimenting with color, neon pigments, and surreal forms. The result was a style that blends instinct and imagination, grounded in emotion and made to glow—sometimes literally—under UV light.

For years, I painted in silence, guarding my work like a personal secret. But little by little, I’ve felt the need to share, to step out of my comfort zone. I've poured time, heart, and resources into creating—and it would be a waste not to let it breathe beyond my walls. Overcoming perfectionism hasn’t been easy, but the encouragement of friends and even strangers has pushed me to open this door. This shop is that door.
